Fished with Billy on Tuesday nite ( with my daughter in tow ) and after a change of tactic - original plan was to fish the wall at Hillhead , we ( I ) decided we might be better off with a slightly less weedy beach up by the amusements.. The sea was flat as Kate Moss chest and the moon was mahoosive so i wasn't expecting the fish to play ball .. Billy saved a blank with his first doggy of the year followed by a pout and and then it was my turn with a common smoothound pup and a pout on the other rod .. All fish fell to mackerel fillet and turned down crab,sandeel and lug baits ;D enjoyable session but could have done with a chop on the sea or atleast some colour to it ! Weed was a total biaaatch when the tide wasn't running and i managed to empty half the solent by casting at range and reeling it all in

As Steve said the sea was dead flat and what with no wind what so ever it was so hot you sweated out just getting your gear set up. Was good to fish with great company again and tho everything was against us we didnt blank... tho was hard work.
